Former SC attorney Alex Murdaugh to be charged in connection with murders of wife, son, family says

Prominent South Carolina attorney Alex Murdaugh, who faces more than 70 criminal charges, could now face charges in the deaths of his wife and son.

The Murdaughs were found murdered outside of their home.

According to John Marvin Murdaugh, agents from the State Law Enforcement Division met with the family to inform them that Alex Murdaugh would be indicted for the killings.

The charges that Alex Murdaugh will face are connected to the deaths of his wife and son, according to John.

John wants the truth.

Alex Murdaugh was identified as a person of interest in the case in the fall of 2021.

Alex Murdaugh is facing charges that he stole $8.5 million from people who hired him and that he lied to police when he said he was shot by a stranger on the side of the road so his son could get a $10 million life insurance policy.

A number of people have accused him of stealing from them. Alex Murdaugh said he was responsible for taking more than $4.3 million from insurance settlements meant for the family of Gloria Satterfield, who died after a fall in the family's home.

Alex Murdaugh has been in jail for over one year. His bond was set in December of 2021.
