With the spotlight shining as brightly as ever on LeBron James this NBA season, he's looking to lead his Los Angeles Lakers to an Oscar-worthy championship finish - and his Nike LeBron 17 is ready for the journey with a new "Red Carpet" colorway. A successor to the Nike LeBron 7 "Red Carpet" in both name and inspiration, LeBron's 17th signature shoe has quite literally gone Hollywood, thanks to its premiere-ready tonal palette.

Although the sobriquet and motive behind this LeBron 17 may be the same as its "Red Carpet" predecessor, the style is vastly different. Where the LB7 combined teal, black and white with just a dash of red, the 17 uses red almost exclusively, dressing the overwhelming majority of the textured Battleknit upper in the vibrant hue. The only deviation is provided by interwoven black threads on the heel and jagged, crown-inspired collar.

From a detail standpoint, the regal lion present on the lace overlays is accompanied by a swooping cursive text hit that's different on each foot - the right shoe features the King's #23 alongside "17" to represent the model, while the left shoe presents his initials in monogram format alongside "BBZ" for a nod to his three children, Bronny, Bryce and Zhuri. Cinematic MPAA "rating" hits on the insoles then offer a clever hit of hidden storytelling. Finally, the shoe is completed by a combination of a soft and sizable Max Air unit in the heel with responsive Zoom Air pods in the forefoot, providing a mix of cushion and court-feel fit for a leading man.

The Nike LeBron 17 "Red Carpet" will release on November 15 via Nike SNKRS. Retail is set at $200 USD.
