Lego said it will stop making toys in Russia indefinitely due to continued disruption.

After the invasion of Ukraine, the firm stopped delivering products to Russia, but its shops stayed open.

Lego said it would end its partnership with the group.

The invasion of Ukraine by Russia was not mentioned.

The Lego Group stopped all commercial activity and put most of their employees on extended leave when they stopped shipping to Russia.

70 employees have been given financial packages to support them as they look for new opportunities, after the company cut most of its Moscow-based team.

Lego is one of a handful of Western brands that remained in Russia after other major companies stopped doing business in the country.

Some companies had complex partnerships with third party firms that had to be ended. McDonald's announced in May that it would be closing its sites in Russia. "Tasty and that's it" is the new name for the restaurants.
