Heardle is one of the many themed games that have arisen in the wake of Wordle. In addition to keeping music nerds engaged, Heardle can be used as a music discovery tool.

Jeremy Erlich, global head of music at Spotify, said that they are always looking for innovative and playful ways to enhance music discovery. Heardle is a great way to connect millions of fans with songs they know and love and with new songs and a way to compete with their friends as to who has the best musical knowledge.

For now, the game is a website. To guess the song being played within six tries, users must first guess the opening notes and then increase the length. At the end of the answer, it will link to the song on the streaming service. The company wouldn't say how much the game cost, but it said the game has millions of players.

Heardle is launching its integration in the US, the UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Heardle will eventually be integrated into the app, though it did not say how or when.

It seems like a smart move for Heardle to hit on what users love about the streamer in the first place. You can listen to music wherever you want, but that doesn't mean you can't engage with the feature.

The audio industry is growing every Tuesday.
