Blackpink, a best-selling K-pop girl group, will perform at the first ever virtual concert hosted by the mobile-based Battle Royale game.

It is another example of a video game expanding into virtual events, but we don't. Although it has hosted various concerts by the likes of Travis Scott and Ariana Grande, it isn't known for it's nightlife. According to a press release from the publisher, the mobile game is expanding its world. Do you want to make that?

There will be a number of concerts in the game from July 23rd to 24th and then from July 30th to 31st. From July 15th, players will be able to grab free tickets, but they will have to download a special assets pack in order to see the concert.

It's not clear how the concert will be staged, but it's likely that each member of Blackpink will have their own unique character. That would make sense given that players of the game will be able to get eye-catching outfits from July 23rd to August 31st.

Blackpink is coming back to music. The last album by the group came out in 2020, but they are said to have new tracks coming out in August.

A new music video and a special track will be part of the virtual concert. Look out for people coming to your area.
