They're easy to use, dependable, and work as intended are some of the reasons why we love the Kindles. They have a month's worth of battery life. Be sure to check out our guide to the Best Amazon Kindle if you want to explore more options.
It is our favorite to suggest to most people. It has a bright 6.8-inch screen, a bright display, and it's waterproof, making it a great option for reading by the pool, at the beach, or in the bathtub. It's a better alternative to the Oasis.
The Paperwhite Signature Edition has a few more features than the standard paperwhite. The display can auto-adjust brightness based on the lighting in your environment, the page turn rate is faster, and there's more storage. If you listen to a lot of audiobook, we recommend this one.
The best option for those who want a simple ebook reader is the basic version of theKindle. There is a built-in front light for reading at night. Around 5,000 books can be held on 8 gigabytes of storage. The lowest price we have tracked is this one.
You will want to go to the Oasis. It has an aluminum body, a 7-inch display, and fast performance. If you're looking for a feature-packed device, it's worth the high price.
The lowest price we've ever seen for an ebook reader for children is theKindle Kids Edition. A protective case, a free year of Amazon Kids+, and a two-year warranty are included in the price.
The Paperwhite is waterproof, so it's better for something more rugged than the kids edition. The standard model has a 6 inch screen, but the 6.8-inch model has a larger display.
A wide range of speakers and smart displays have been tested by us. You can read the guide for more devices powered by Amazon's voice assistant. If you want to learn more about smart speakers and smart displays, check out our guides.
We love the Amazon Echo Show 8. The 8-inch display is a good size for watching movies, reading recipes, making video calls, and more. It's a great addition to your kitchen counter or nightstand because it's small.
We didn't like the device for its small screen because it was too small to navigate well. If you want a display that's small enough to fit on your desk or nightstand, it's still a good choice. There is a camera shutter and a physical button. This is the lowest it has been.
The best speaker in our buying guide is the echo dot The speaker fills the room with sound. Along with the ability to set timers and alarm clocks, you'll be able to stay up to date on the weather and news. Are you worried about privacy? The microphones can be turned off with a physical button. The lowest sale price was $5 cheaper.
There are panda and tiger prints in the children's edition of the Echo Dot. The smart speaker has fun prints, great sound quality, parental controls, and a free year of Amazon Kids+ with access to Audible books.
A lot of features are included in the Echo Buds, including noise cancellation, wireless charging, and customizations via its connected app. These earbuds allow you to use voice commands to check the weather, set timers, and update your grocery list, all while listening to your music. This is still a great deal despite the fact that they dipped to $50 in April.
Are you interested in a Fire device? We are not responsible for you. The slates are affordable, capable, and practical. We have a buying guide for the best Amazon Fire Tablets.
Scott Gilbertson wrote that the Fire HD 8 is one of the best values for a tablets. It has 12 hours of battery life and an updated processor. The Fire HD 8 Plus is on sale for $50 and comes with more features.
The Fire HD10 is our favorite Fire device. The latest version has a brighter screen and better performance. The HD 10 is on sale for $170 and is 25% off. It's an ideal setup if you want to get some light work done.
The Fire HD 10 Plus has a bigger screen. If you want to watch movies, tv shows, and videos on the 10.1-inch screen, it's a good option. The standard version has less RAM at 4 gigabytes.
The Fire HD 8 Kids Edition is the best Fire device for children. It comes with the same features as the standard Fire tablets, but also comes with a durable case and a two-year warranty, which will be replaced if your child breaks it. One year of Amazon Kids+ is included with this device.
The Fire HD 10 Kids Pro is larger than the Fire HD 8 so we recommend it for older kids. In addition to a larger display, children can request to install apps from a Kids app store, which parents have to manually approve. There is a less heavy-duty protective case with it.
Don't buy older tablets.
The Fire 7 is on sale, but we don't think it's a good buy. The new Fire 7 isn't terrible, but it's more powerful than previous models, so it's next to useless.
Adding a Fire TV Stick will allow you to watch most of your content on Amazon Prime. It gives priority to Amazon content over other popular streaming services, but still has access to all the major streaming services. Check out our guide for more options. All of the streaming sticks below are at the lowest prices we have tracked.
The interface is the same as the rest of Amazon's smart devices. You can use your voice to launch and search shows on the remote with power and volume buttons.
The Fire TV Stick 4K Max is our go-to option for Amazon loyalists since the menus are targeted towards the company's Prime Video app and purchases from its store. It comes with a number of improvements compared to its predecessor, including more memory, picture-in-picture, and support for wi-fi 6.
If you don't want to upgrade to a 4K TV, we recommend the Fire TV Stick lite. The lite version has access to all major streaming apps and a basic version of the alexa remote, but no buttons for TV power, or volume controls. You can get another app for that.
There are other device deals.
The 6 mesh system is very easy to use. We had good coverage and stable internet. Since Eero is owned by Amazon, you'll be able to use the voice assistant. It is one of the slower systems we have tried, but it should work well for most people.
The best fitness tracker's buying guide mentioned the halo view. The price is also the lowest we've seen. It's easy to use and it's affordable. WIRED senior associate editor Adrienne So doesn't like how it pushes business partnerships or tells you to strip down to your underwear in order to measure your body fat.
