The paperwhite is the best. The waterproof e-reader went from one model to three last year, making it difficult to pick one. The Signature Edition has larger, 6.8-inch screens, but all of the others have the same features. The ad-free version is worth the additional $20. The Paperwhite Kids' Edition is available for $105 and the Paperwhite signature edition is available for $130.
If you're looking for a basic ebook reader, this is the one for you. If you want to read in the dark, you'll need a 6-inch E Ink touch screen. No ads on the home screen is what you should do if you can spend more.
If you don't need waterproofs, the 10th- generation Kids Kindle works well. It comes with a one-year subscription to Amazon Kids+ and costs $5 a month for Prime members.
The best smart speaker you can buy for under $50 is Amazon's fourth- generation echo. The rounded edges help fidelity, and the digital signal processing and sound quality have been dialed in by AMAZON. Amazon's AZI Neural Edge processor is used to help recognize speech better than before. The lowest price we have ever seen for this model is this one.
You can set time limits, filters explicit content, and review activity with easy-to-use parental controls in the special Kids edition of the Echo Dot. After a year of Amazon Kids+, the sphere will cost $5 a month.
For the past two generations, our favorite smart display has been the echo show 8. It's big enough that video chats work well, and readable, but small enough that it doesn't take up a lot of countertop space.
The Fire HD 10 is the fastest and the best for most people. It's better to watch videos on the bigger screen than the smaller ones. You can use Show Mode to turn it into an echo show and shout commands to alexa from across the room If you need more power, the Fire HD 10 Plus for $105 is a good option.
The Fire HD 8 Kids Edition is the best device for young children. It's better at surviving life in the hands of a small child because it's light and it fits well in smaller hands. A one-year subscription to Amazon Kids+ is included in the Kids Edition tablets. Our guide will help you manage Amazon Kids+ content. The Fire HD 7 is too old to be recommended.
The picture-in-picture feature of the Fire Stick 4K Max is something that we like. The voice remote works well. The Fire TV Stick lite is on sale for $12 off. Amazon Prime content is what you'll get on the home page. If Amazon Prime is not one of your most used streaming services, you should use something else.
The Eero 6 is one of the easiest mesh networks to setup. It provides good coverage and has a stable internet connection. You won't have to hide it in a closet because it is not bad looking. The model has three identical units.

Many of the issues with the Pixel 6 have been fixed, and it is one of the best values right now. The lowest price we have ever tracked is this one. Thanks to the Tensor processor, you get great performance, as well as some of the best smartphones for the money. There is a deal at Target. The Pixel 6A is on the way for slightly less, but it has more perks, like wireless charging, and better camera hardware.
Add an excellent 4X optical zoom camera, a 120-Hz screen refresh rate, a bigger 6.7-inch screen, and slightly longer battery life to the Pixel 6 and you'll get everything you need. This is the first major discount we've seen for thePixel 6 Pro, and it's an excellent price for it. There is a deal at Target. ThePixel 7 andPixel 7 Pro will be released in the fall.
The Best Cheap phones guide has the SAMSUNG A 53 5G in it. The display is nice, the battery life is good, and the performance is better than the price suggests. This phone is an absolute steal at this price and has been popping on and off over the last few weeks.
The IdeaPad 5 is our favorite budget laptop. There's plenty of power, a nice 14-inchIPS display, 8 gigabytes of RAM, and a 256-gigabyteSSD. It can be used as a stand mode for watching movies or as a stand mode for tablets. The digital pen is a great option for taking advantage of the two-in-one design. The more powerful version of the Ryzen 7 can be had for $689 if you have money to spare.
ThePixelbook Go is an excellent, no- frills laptop that is starting to show its age. It is only a great option for anyone who can work completely off of the chrome browser. For more information, read our guide.
If you're looking for a large-display laptop that you can carry around all day, the Gram is the one for you. The Gram weighs just 2.6 pounds and has a 16-inchIPS display. This model has an 11th- generation Intel Core i7 processor, 16 gigabytes of RAM, and a 512-gigabyte solid state drive.
The 14-inch form factor makes this powerhouse one of our favorites. It's hard to beat the power of anAMD Ryzen 9 5900HX with an RTX 3080 graphics card. This portable gaming rig has a 2,560 x 1,440-pixel display, 16 gigabyte of RAM, and a one-thirtieth of a sd drive.
The Aurora R14 has a unique look that is designed to maximize heat dissipation and distribute cool air among internal components. It is not what you would expect from Alienware. This deal includes a chip, a card, and a drive.
Alienware's M15 R6 can be found in a small package. There's an 11th- generation Intel Core i7 chip, an Nvidia RTX 3070 graphics card, 32 gigabytes of RAM, and a 1-terabyteSSD. It's a good deal on a portable gaming rig if you don't take it too far from a power sockets.
One of our favorites is a budget gaming keyboard. The same mechanical switches and Lightsync lighting that you get on more expensive models are also included. If you are just starting, it is an excellent choice.
The Keychron K3 is a wireless mechanical keyboard with a low profile of the keys. If that's your bag, the compact size doesn't take up a lot of desk space. The device lasts around four to five days and can be charged via a port on the computer.
The Arctis 1 is our favorite gaming headset under $50. One of our favorites is the wireless version of the headset, which has a rich, robust sound. The Arctis 1 feels and sounds more expensive than it is. It only works with PS4 and PS5 and doesn't work with other consoles.
The Logitech G Pro X is lightweight, has DTX:S object-based surround sound, and is great for PC gaming. It requires a 3.5mm cable for it to work with a PC, PS4, or PS5.
Fast response times and optical switches are what the viper ultimate has. When you're not using it, it has a charging dock and wireless accessory. It's not our best mouse, but it's still a great one.
Western Digital's desktop drives are our favorite way to back up large amounts of data. Incremental backups are great with these, they aren't as fast, but they are great. The speed of your backup software won't be a big deal. This one is usually on sale for $300, but this is the first time we have seen it go to $250.
We've tested other portable drives, but this one trounces them all. It's lightweight and will stand up to use on the go. It's not the cheapest drive, but if you want to get it done quickly, you should.

For those of us who rent, Panasonic's HomeHawk camera sticks to the inside of a window so you can keep an eye on the outside. The image is clear and has a wide angle view. This camera is one of the best security cameras.
The second favorite is the Nest Doorbell because it is more expensive than the top choice. The price has been brought down below the Arlo. For 30 days of video history and smart alert, you need to subscribe to Nest Aware, which costs $6 per month, more than twice as much as the price of Arlo secure. This is a good video doorbell if you are on the internet. You can find this deal at Best Buy.
The Nest outdoor camera is battery powered and easy to install, making it our favorite camera to use with the assistant. The 130 degree field of view captures clear video with high definition and night vision. Clean audio is offered by the speaker and microphone. There is a deal at Target.
Are you looking for an indoor security camera. You'll need to plug it in because it doesn't have a battery. This deal is still a good price. At Target, it is also available.
This is the best option if you don't want a camera. It records video to a HomeBase hub that has 16 gigabytes of storage, and the hub can be used to connect to your internet service provider or home network. There is a wide 140 degree field of view for the video footage, which is mostly crisp and clear.
Over the past two years, we've tested a lot of standing desks. It's made of eco-friendly bamboo and has a motor that can be adjusted up to four heights.
This desk is very nice and not cheap. The desk can be shifted up and down quickly with no wobbles. It's easy to set up and use. It is 25 to 52 inches tall and has a hole for your cables.

The speakers from Sony have a built-in strap and sit in a bike basket so you can listen to your music while riding. They have up to 16 hours of battery life, are dust and water resistant, and can even be linked together.
Up to 50 hours of music can be played on these headphones on a single charge. If you want headphones that are cheap, sound good, and don't need to be plugged in, these are the ones for you.
The small size of these buds and the comfortable Silicone coating make them a good choice. Eight hours of battery life between trips to the charging case is what they have. You can change the sound of the audio in the Sound+ app to your liking.
Right now, the best noise-canceling earbuds are the Sony WF-1000XM4. They use Sony's excellent processing, microphones, and foam ear tips to block out most of the outside noise.
The in-ears are great for the Apple device. They're comfortable and have great battery life. It works with all three of the Macintosh computers. There isn't wireless charging in the case.
The Pixel Buds are good for under $100. They have a nice design. When you're on the phone, the sound is balanced and the quality is above average. They have IPX4 water resistance and built-in integrations.
The speaker can be installed in the shower on most shower heads. You don't need to charge the speaker or bring it to the bathroom if you want to listen to music. It has a Prime Day related discount, but it's not on Amazon.

This price dropped to its lowest level ever, but it might not seem like a big deal. One of the prettiest TVs we have tested. You can cast it to your phone from your TV, the panel is fantastic and it has deep blacks and rich colors. Unless you have a large TV stand it is best to wall-mount it.
This is a basic, entry-level TV from Hisense, but we like the brand and trust its build quality, unlike some of the other generic Amazon TVs we haven't tested There is a built-in Fire TV for streaming your favorite Amazon shows and you get the high dynamic range support.

The Personal Water Filter by LifeStraw filters out 99.99 percent of waterbornebacteria. We like to have it on hand for emergencies. It can remove up to 1000 gallons of water.
We haven't tried LifeStraw's water bottle yet, but it works the same as the straw, just include the water bottle so you can fill up and go.
No matter where you are, Goal Zero's power stations are there to keep you charged up. They can be used as a backup power source or as a camping companion. The lowest price we have seen on the 1500X model is this one. The 500X is on sale for $525, which is 75 percent off the regular price.
The Mini 3 is better than the Mini 2, but it's also double the price of the deal on the Mini 2. Compared to other fitness trackers that only last a few days, this one has enough juice to keep you on track for a backpacking trip that lasts over a week.
