San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is still an option for any team that hasn't decided on a quarterback.
According to Jeremy Fowler, the Seattle Seahawks are still interested in him.
Fowler said that Seattle is still out there. They weren't involved in the Baker Mayfield situation. They have talked about the possibility of Garoppolo playing for them. They did film work to see how he would fit in.
Fowler believes that the Niners are stuck in the Jimmy G situation.
The Niners need Garoppolo to pass a physical before they can trade him, and they'll need him to agree to take a pay cut in order to facilitate a move.
According to that report, the pool of suitors for Garoppolo's services is small.
The Niners would like to free up cap space to sign Nick Bosa and Deebo Samuel to long-term deals, and the leverage in this situation seems to be on buying side of the equation.

The Carolinas gave up a fourth- or fifth-round pick in the future in order to land him, but they will only pay him $4.7 million of his $18.6 million salary. The team will pick up $10.5 million of the tab, and the player agreed to convert the rest of his salary to incentives.
In 15 games, Garoppolo threw for 3,810 yards, 20 touchdown and 12 interceptions, completing 68.3% of his passes and leading the Niners to a 9-6 record.
In the playoffs, Garoppolo threw for 535 yards, two touchdown and three turnovers, while completing just 58.1% of his passes.
The problem with Garoppolo is that he can't make the big-time throws needed to be among the elite at the position. The Niners appear to have a ceiling with Jimmy G under center, leading the team to draft a quarterback in the first round. "You can win with him but you don't win because of him" is how Garoppolo is described.
Even if a pair of divisional rivals agree to a trade, Garoppolo would be an upgrade in Seattle over players like Drew Lock and Geno Smith.
