If you have been eyeing a pricey Lego set, you may have less than a year to get it. Some of the company's most desirable plastic creations are going up in price. There is a Lego tree house in the picture above. It will cost $250, a 25 percent increase.

Fans of Lego will not be surprised by this. The company said in June that it would be raising prices on Lego sets by 25%. The first major retailer to implement those price increases was Barnes & Noble, which showed us how much we will be paying for adult-friendly sets like the Lego Home Alone house.

Because Barnes & Noble is the only one to have implemented those prices, you have a limited amount of time to get a set at their previous prices. Here is a list of the best adult-friendly sets with the biggest price increases.

There could be more price increases in the future. Barnes & Noble doesn't carry some of the biggest sets, like the UCS Millennium Falcon, UCS Star Destroyer and Lego Titanic, all of which would make sense for price hikes.

The Volkswagen T2 Camper Van, Lego Batwing, Cat D11 Bulldozer, and Space Shuttle Discovery can all be found at Barnes & Noble's OG prices.

Lego has raised prices. That is a great question. In June, the company claimed that it had to do with the current global economic challenges of increased raw material and operating costs and that it had already absorbed these costs to keep pricing stable.

Lego decided to raise the price of some of their sets due to the rapidly rising costs. It makes sense that Lego bricks are made from oil-based plastic, as we have a bit of an oil crisis right now.

Lego just had its best year ever in 2021, with record profits of nearly $2 billion, among many other positive financial signs.

The price increases were supposed to happen in August andSeptember.
