Downtown Las Vegas is the number one spot. Kids can see the world's largest digital display on the underside of a canopy that spans five city blocks at the Fremont Street Experience. During the day, the kids can go down the slide in the center of Downtown Container Park or relax on the steps at Fergusons Downtown with some goodies from Vegas Test Kitchen.
The Las Vegas Arts District is home to dozens of museums and one happy Snowball: a 10-foot tall cat. You can take a guided tour of the Neon Boneyard at the Neon Museum if you have older children.
Lake Las Vegas is a real gem. Lake Las Vegas Water Sports rents kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, e-foils, and more. A floating aqua park is a cross between a bouncy house and an obstacle course. In Henderson, you can rent bikes and ride part of the River Mountains loop trail, which is 34 miles long.
Goodsprings is a ghost town located in southern Nevada. Even though a historic bar doesn't sound like a family attraction, going to Goodsprings and not visiting the century-old Pioneer Saloon would be missed. The restaurant is Food Network-worthy and the cornhole on the back patio is child-friendly. There are historic walking tours and off-road ATV tours that take you around the ghost town and into the landscape. Self-guided ghost hunts are always available.
The Pinball Hall of Fame is one of the last but not least options. The destination is on Las Vegas Boulevard just north of the "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign. There are more than 150 pinball machines in the museum. All you need is a small amount of quarters.
