The Boston Celtics have agreed to a two-year, $13.3 million deal with the free-agent forward, according to his agent, Michael Tellem.
Tellem said that the player option on the second year will be guaranteed.
When adding on the partial guarantee from his 2022-23 contract before the San Antonio Spurs waived him, Gallinari will make $17 million-plus this season, making him one of the NBA's highest-paid players.
All-star guard Dejounte Murray was part of the Hawks-Spurs trade.
The Hawks had a 38% success rate on 3-point shooting last year. He has averaged more than 15 points in 13 NBA seasons.
The fifth-most career 3-pointers by a player who is 6 feet 10 or taller is made by the Italian. He's fourth in the league in points behind Dirk Nowitzki (1,962), Kevin Durant (1,770), and Peja Stojakovi (1,760)
