Taika Waititi and Chris Hemsworth on the set of Thor: Ragnarok.

Since the release of Justice League, there has been a question of if we will get more director's and extended. The original theatrical versions of Black Panther and Avengers: Endgame are the only ones that get in on this. Taika Waititi made his position clear on the matter, saying yes, but no.

Waititi was asked if there was a cut of the movie that could ever be found. He said they suck after he shot it down. Director's cuts are not good. A four-and-a-half hour movie wouldn't be worth watching compared to a shorter film. The high of creating a three or four-hour cut is gone after watching a lot of director's cuts of films.

Waititi said that you get into the edit. After about six months of it being in the movie, you realize that it doesn't have anything to do with the movie. The four-hour assembly cut was compared to a Monty Python sketch by Waititi and Chris Hemsworth in an interview. It gives up on the story about five times a year.

Waititi has made his feelings on director's cuts pretty clear, but it sounds like he doesn't want to make an extended version of the film. He bluntly said that it was so tiring and last thing he wanted to do was attempt that scene again. The structure of the film has gotten stronger. Fans won't have to worry about the deleted scenes during the home release.

There is a new movie in theaters right now.
