Just hours after winning his fourth straight title at Wimbledon with a four-set victory over Nick Kyrgios, Novak Djokovic confirmed he has no plans to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and will not be playing the US Open unless the restrictions to enter the country are loosened or he is

The only good news for me is that the green vaccine card will no longer be required for me to enter the U.S. I'm not sure. I don't think it's realistic. I am not sure what the exemption would be about.

I'm not sure. I don't have a lot of information.

In last year's US Open final, the calendar grand slam bid was spoiled by the young Russian, who beat the Serbian in the final. He couldn't play at the Australian Open because he was deported.

He's not eligible for a visa so he won't be able to play in Down Under. He was unsure when he would be able to play a competitive match.

He said he was on vacation. I'll be taking a break for the next couple weeks because it's been exhausting and demanding for me over the last few months. I was very pleased with the amount of tennis. I have what I want.

I'll wait for some good news from the USA so I can go there. It would be the next big tournament, the next big swing, playing a tournament or two before the US Open. I have to look at the schedule if that doesn't happen.

Wimbledon was stripped of its ranking points this year as a result of the tournament's ban on Russian andBelarusian players due to the ongoing invasion of Ukraine.

If he can't defend his title in New York, his ranking will fall. August 29th is when the Open is going to start.
