She said that she told the cop her fetus was her passenger and that she cited the SCOTUS decision. Brandy said "My baby girl is right here." She is a human. The Supreme Court decision means that her fetus is a person in Texas, even though she didn't want to get political. Brandy plans to fight the ticket in court, even though the cop didn't purchase it. Texas law considers an unborn child at every stage of development to be an individual. The HOV rules refer to two people outside of the body, according to Brandy. She's going to court on July 20. She said that this has her blood boiling. Is this fair? This is a life according to the law. As a woman, I was shocked by this. Depending on how high her case ends up going in the Texas courts, it could set a legal precedent in the state.
