Novak Djokovic kept his cool in the heat of Centre Court to win the Wimbledon Championship. As the ball was stuck in the net on the final point, the Serb looked to his team and exhaled. He went one behind Nadal's record of 22 men's singles titles with the victory.
In a match in which Nick Kyrgios grew increasingly frustrated with interruptions and his own team, Novak Djokovic stayed calm in warm temperatures to win in four sets. This was the first singles Grand Slam final for both of them and experience prevailed.
The Australian won the first set in 31 minutes and found it hard to read his serve. The second set was the turning point in the match, as Djokovic found his rhythm and took the second set 6-3.
During the third set, he asked the umpire to remove a fan who he said had drunk 700 drinks and was talking to him. He directed frustration toward his team as well. He broke the player in the ninth game and then served out to win the set.
The fourth set ended in a tiebreak. On the third championship point, the Serb read the serve of the Australian.
At seven Wimbledon men's singles titles, it is one short of Roger Federer's record. The men's singles final took place on Centre Court, and here's how the final went down.

The reputation of being the best returner in the game is not a good one. There is a man. He couldn't get a hold of the serve in the first set, which included a second ace at 125mph. In the first set, he dropped just 5 points on his serve. It was the third time in his career that the Serbian had lost a first set at Wimbledon. He got a handle on the serve of the young man.
Both of the previous meetings between the two players had been won by the other. He got a foothold in the second and third. It was amazing, given that Kyrgios kept over 70% of his first serves in, but he was unable to handle them at the key moments. He was able to serve out for the title when he broke the serve three times.

While there were no on-court flashpoints between the two players, it did not want for drama. They spoke of their "bromance" in the lead up to the match, and there wasn't really a bad moment between them during the contest, but as the match went on, he turned on the umpire, a spectator and even his own team.
He increased the chat toward his box when he missed his chance to break in the second set. The chat continued into the third set as he became more frustrated with how the match was progressing. He said to his box that he didn't understand it. What is the reason? I'll hit a 130mph second serve, that's what I'll do. The ace was thrown by him. He was warned for his obscenity in front of Prince George who was sitting in the front row of the Royal Box.
He was angry that a person was talking to him during points. He asked the umpire why the woman was still here. She's not thinking anymore.
He was angry with his own team as the third set went on. Do you guys care or not? It doesn't feel right. It's hard to ace a guy three times. During the tiebreak, the man shouted at his box, "What are you scared for?".
The third set was the turning point in the game. After several incorrect line calls went against him in the fourth, he told the umpire, "You've done no decent over rules in three hours."
"It's officially a bromance."
