The Sunday Times UK reported that researchers at China's Comprehensive National Science Center claimed to have developed artificial intelligence that could measure citizens' loyalty to theCCP.

According to The Times, the software could measure party members' reactions to political education by analyzing facial expressions and brain waves.

The researchers said that the results can be used to further solidify their confidence and determination to be grateful to the party. The post was taken down after Chinese citizens voiced their displeasure.

It's impossible to prove the validity of the institute's claims without knowing the details of the research study, according to Dr. Lance B. Eliot.

He wrote that this isn't the first time a brain scanning capability has been used on humans. It's not something you would focus on if you used them to gauge loyalty. A red line has been crossed with the use of such artificial intelligence.

Insider reported last year that the US Department of Commerce had imposed sanctions on several Chinese institutions for their help in developing "purported brain-control weaponry."

The Chinese government has come under fire for using artificial intelligence and facial recognition systems to track and control Uighur people. According to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, between 1 million and 3 million Uighurs have been imprisoned in China.

The US Secretary of Commerce said in a press release that scientific pursuit can save lives. The People's Republic of China is using these technologies to pursue control over its people and its ethnic and religious minorities.
