The wedding of T.J. Watt and Danielle Rhodes was absolutely beautiful.
Watt and Rhodes got married at a private resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on Saturday.
The couples were dancing on the terrace overlooking the ocean when fireworks shot off.
After the two became engaged, the wedding took place.
We were given a glimpse on social media of the week's festivities by the Watt family.
It didn't get any better than this from days on the boat to fancy dinners overlooking the blue water.
T.J.'s current and former teammates in college and the NFL were among the wedding guests.
Watt is about to start training camp a few weeks before the wedding. He tied the league's single-season sack record and won his first defensive player of the year award.
Since their days at the University of Wisconsin, Watt and Rhodes have been inseparable.
Watt became an All-American after overcoming early injuries and a position change. Watt was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first round. He signed the largest contract in NFL history for a defensive player last year.
He is already a three-time All-Pro as he enters his sixth season with the Pittsburgh.
Watt thanked Rhodes during his acceptance speech for the defensive player of the year award.
Watt and Rhodes attended the same high school and both graduated in the same year.
Rhodes was an athlete in high school. She was the school's career scoring leader after playing basketball. She left her mark on soccer. She was a two-time state player of the year.
She earned All-American status her senior year at the University of Wisconsin and was the Big Ten forward of the year. She scored both of the team's goals in the tournament. She holds the school record for most goals in a game with four and points in an NCAA Tournament game with eight.
She was a professional player inIceland last year.
The Watt family has a lot to celebrate this off-season. Oldest brother J.J. and his wife Kealia are expecting their first child this fall.
While on location for the wedding, J.J mentioned that Kealia doesn't take days off from her work out while she's pregnant.
The couple, who had their own destination wedding in the Bahamas in February 2020, delivered in their looks throughout the trip.
One of the best looks was given to us by the Watt brothers. They wore matching tropical-themed shirts and bucket hats before taking a ride on a boat.
The two of them looked sharp throughout the week.
While posing for a picture with his wife, he joked that mom and dad still have it. Two young boys are being cared for by their parents.
