Rory McIlroy Says LIV Has No Place in Golf: I'd Be 'Super Happy' If It Went Away

The golfer spoke out against the golf series.

The four-time major champion said he would be happy if LIV left tomorrow.

I'm surprised that a lot of these guys do two things at the same time. During a June 22 press conference, the golfer said that he didn't understand. I am not sure if that is for legal reasons. It is duplicitous on their part to say one thing and then do another thing.

Last year, LIV Golf was founded. Saudi Arabia's public investment fund funds the circuit. Despite a long history of human rights violations, the country's government has spent over a billion dollars to improve its reputation.

Several players have resigned from the PGA Tour in order to join the LIV.

The players who are playing for LIV have been suspended by the commissioner.

He doesn't sound like he's going to play in LIV. He finished in the top five at the U.S. Open last month.
