Lewis Hamilton
Hamilton's crash left him ninth on the grid for Saturday's sprint race

Spectators at the Austrian Grand Prix cheered when Lewis Hamilton crashed in the qualification round.

The Dutch fans of Hamilton's title rival Max Verstappen were packed into the stands.

I went through a lot of things in the crash, but I heard it afterwards. He said that he did not agree with any of that.

You're going to cheer that a driver could have been in the hospital.

Hamilton was promoted to ninth on the grid for the sprint event after a penalty for Perez.

It's mind-blowing to know how dangerous our sport is. I'm thankful that I wasn't hurt and that I wasn't hospitalized.

You should not cheer for someone's downfall.

Hamilton will finish in the middle of the pack in the sprint event and start the grand prix in eighth place.

He fell to 11th on the first lap after being hit by Pierre Gasly at the first corner.

He was stuck behind Kevin Magnussen and Mick Schumacher but couldn't pass because the Mercedes had a slower straight-line speed.

With two laps to go, he overtook him.

It's too much for us at the moment.

It's hard to say if it's drag or power.

It wasn't the most enjoyable race. It was not that fast. There was something not right with the car after the incident with Gasly.

Thanks a lot to my team for putting the car together. I hope tomorrow is better because they worked really hard to keep us in the race.
