We expect the first betas for OneUI 5 to roll out a couple of weeks from now, and the next version of OneUI will be based on the latest version of the operating system. The software is expected to be released in the third week of July according to multiple reports. The software build has been given to the team internally, according to other sources.

There is a new build obtained by the people at 9to5google. It's the latest OneUI 5beta that sets the tone for what to expect from eligibleGalaxy devices on the software side. The report suggests that the build was provided by an anonymous source and that it might not be the actual version that consumers will get. All the information should be considered with a grain of salt as some might not see the light of day.

There isn't a changelog, but there are new features spotted in the latest version. It compares how different the OneUI 5 is from the previous version.

The app icons that appear on the pane are cleaner than before. The quick settings have a different look than the OneUI 4. The permission dialog seems to have moved from the bottom to the center, with colorful buttons to click on.

The Gallery app has an add on called theOCR. You can copy the text in whole from an image from the gallery with optical character recognition. It can detect all types of text in photos.

The Scan Text button at the bottom of the image lets users pick the text they want to copy. In the past, it was possible for Bixby to do it. There is a chance that it will be included in the user interface of the upcoming 13-based version of the operating system, which is due to arrive on some of the best devices.

You can choose any text from your clipboard using the keyboard oir tool. You might want to share a news story from a newspaper or the internet with your friends on the messaging service. The app's online version can be used instead of the physical one. Normally, you would hold it to paste from the clipboard, but now it has a new option. The functions seem to have been removed from the device. According to the report, they work the same on the latest OneUI 5beta.

The new privacy hub seems to be similar to the one we've seen on the Pixel 6 Pro. Specific security preferences like Lock screen, App security, and Biometrics are given access to. The settings and preferences from OneUI 4 are still accessible via a native hub.

New multitasking gestures are one of the highlights of the OneUI 5beta findings. You can get to a split-screen view with just a two-fingered gesture. Swiping will allow you to change apps. It's possible to collaborate with up to a hundred people who get to write, edit, and share notes on the device.

Users can see the phone's model image on the About phone page and there is a new active app view. The settings app has a new ultra-wideband switch that will let you locate nearby devices.
