There is a lot of evidence coming out of these hearings. The witnesses are unimpeachable, and that is troubling for him.
Attorney Pat Cipollone was interviewed under oath by members of the committee on Friday. On CNN Friday, Lofgren said that Cipollone didn't "contradict" any other witnesses who testified. She said that the Cipollone interview was worth it and that new information was revealed.
Cipollone was at the center of testimony last week by Cassidy Hutchinson, a former aide to MarkMeadows. The attorney warned that if Cipollone tried to prevent Trump from joining his supporters at the Capitol, they would be charged with every crime imaginable.
She said she heard Cipollone say that the mob was calling for Vice President Mike Pence to be hanged.
Cipollone replied: "This is f-ing crazy."
Mary Trump believes that the motivation behind her uncle's decision to run for the presidency in 2024 would be to avoid prosecution for a long list of criminal charges against him.
She said that Donald has used two methods to get away from accountability. He ran out of time or he was outspent. It shouldn't be allowed here. Is that the reason he is running for office again? I believe that would answer the question of whether anyone is above the law.
She said that not indicting or prosecuting her uncle would be an insult to the rule of law.
