The goal of the GOP is to decrease the number of votes in the nation. One way to make it hard to vote is by making it inconvenient. Voters don't have to risk their health at crowded polling stations if they use mail-in ballots and drop boxes.
Trump is pushing for single-day, in-person voting in elections, which would prohibit convenient mail-in ballots and early voting. The president votes by mail. It would be difficult for the disabled and elderly, as well as those working long hours or two jobs, to juggle that.
