At the Sun Valley conference this weekend, Musk spoke about a number of topics, but he didn't mention his deal with the micro-messaging service.
The CEO of the artificial intelligence company that Musk co-founded avoided the topic of Musk's $44 billion deal to take over the social media company during an interview, according to a report.
Musk devoted most of his remarks to the topic of building a society on Mars and his belief in the need to increase birth rates on Earth, according to a source.
Musk is familiar with both of them. Insider reported that he fathered previously unknown twins in November with a top executive at one of his companies. He said that he was planning to increase the benefits at his companies.
The social media giant said in a statement it plans to take Musk to court to force him to purchase the company.
The days leading up to the annual conference, which convenes top executives in tech, media, and finance to Sun Valley, Idaho, for a few days of hobnobbing and deal-making, had been filled with speculation over whether Musk would talk about the deal.
