The development of Heroes of the Storm is coming to an end. The studio said in a brief post on Friday that it plans to support the MOBA in a similar way to games such as Starcraft II. Fans can expect the company to keep releasing patches to address bugs and balance issues. There are no plans to add new content to the in-game shop at the moment.

A free in-game mount is going to be given to players with the next patch. We are grateful for your continued dedication and support, and we look forward to seeing you in theNexus.

There has been a slow death for the MOBA. Some of the staff that had been working on Heroes of the Storm were moved to other projects. The pace of new content has slowed since then. In 2020 the game added a hero. Many pros were bitter with the company after they decided to stop supporting the Heroes of the Storm scene.
