The footage of the destroyed car was taken before the news broke. It's not clear what the pedestrian used or how they did it, but there's a giant hole in the middle of the vehicle.
It's not uncommon to hear stories of people dying in accidents caused by self-driving vehicles. Pedestrians are attacking riders and drivers in self- driving vehicles in a complete opposition direction.
It's not easy to understand why people don't like self- driving cars. It's not a good idea to attack vehicles with people inside to make sure people are safe.
