The House Democrat called for Flynn's pension to be taken away.
The Department of Defense cited Flynn for failing to disclose financial payments and in-kind compensation and the US Army wants to collect almost $40,000 from him.
Take his pension away. The government does not give pensions to people who try to overthrow it.
Flynn was fined by the Army because he attended a Moscow event to celebrate the anniversary of Russia Today. The Washington Post reported that in a May 2 letter, the Army said they would be seeking $38,557.06 for Flynn's attendance at the Gala, where he was seated next to Putin.
Flynn was accused of violating the US Constitution's Emoluments Clause, which forbids members of the military from accepting payments from foreign governments. Flynn received hundreds of thousands of dollars from Russian and Turkish interests.
"When there is a finding that a military retiree has violated the Emoluments Clause, the United States Government may pursue a debt collection," an Army lawyer said in a letter to Flynn.
Flynn's spokesman did not reply to Insider's request for comment on Saturday.
Flynn invoked the Fifth Amendment when he was asked if he thought the violence on January 6, 2021, was justified.
Flynn advocated for Trump to impose martial law and for the US military to seize voting machines in order to overturn the 2020 election.
