Ford has issued a recall for certain models due to the concern that they could catch fire. More than 100,000 vehicles in the US are affected by the recall. In the event of an engine failure, the affected vehicles could release a lot of engine oil and fuel Vapor. The substances could accumulate near the vehicles' ignition sources and cause a fire under the hood.

Engine failures are caused by manufacturing issues, according to Ford. There have been no reports of injuries or accidents associated with the problems that led to the recall. The owner of the car will be notified by August 8th. The under-engine shields and grille shutters of recalled vehicles will be modified by dealers.

Ford recalled 49,000 Mach-E EV's last month due to concerns about the possibility of their batteries overheating. There is a chance that the issue could prevent the vehicle from starting or cause it to lose power on the road. The Mach-Es only need an over-the-air software update to be fixed, unlike the hybrid vehicles that have to be physically modified.
