A mother was told by American Airlines that her daughter went missing after leaving the plane.

According to MailOnline and the New York Post, Monica Gilliam paid an extra $150 for a chaperone to escort her daughter through the airport but was told by the airline that they did not know where the girl was. She wore a lanyard to indicate she was not with an adult when she disembarked from her flight in Miami.

A professional photographer said in a video that her daughter was waved off the plane by flight attendants and then kept walking.

According to the video, no AA employee stopped her to see if she had an adult with her. She said that when she left the secured area and went into the baggage claim, nobody stopped her.
