MLB All-Star Voting 2022: AL, NL Starting Rosters, Leaders and Final Results

The Yankees' Judge and the Braves' Acuna will start the All-Star Game.

The winners of the All-Star Ballot will play in the game.

After leading their league in votes during the first phase of balloting, Judge and Acuna were assured spots in the starting lineup.

Ohtani will start at designated hitter for the second year in a row. The two-way star beat out Yordan for the starting position.

The All-Star Game will feature two players who will be remembered as legacy selections.

The American League is made up of five teams.

Alejandro Kirk is a player for the Toronto BlueJays.

The Toronto Blue Jay's Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was the first baseman.

Jose Altuve is a second baseman for the Houston Astros.

The Boston Red Sox's Rafael Devers is in the running for the American League's Most Valuable Player award. The 25-year-old is starting for the second year in a row. He was the American League's third baseman.

In FanGraphs, Devers is the leader in wins above replacement. He has 19 homers and a.330 batting average in 81 games.

It will be interesting to see how Ohtani is used in the game. His appearance in the Home Run Derby was the first attraction last year. He was the leadoff hitter for the American League.

Ohtani has excelled on the mound in the past. He has a 2.44 earned run average that would tie him for fifth in the American League if he were to make the MLB list as a pitcher.

Since coming back from a torn knee, Acuna has been excellent. He's still getting his power back up, but he's posting a strong slash line with seven homers in 50 games.

The Atlanta Braves are within 3.5 games of the New York Mets for the top spot in the NL East thanks to the return of outfielder Ronald Acuna.

The final outfield spot in the American League and third base spot in the National League were the most interesting races going into the last day of voting.

The two outfielders were tied with 21 percent of the vote for second place in the American League.

Lourdes Gurriel was only two percentage points behind the other two.

Mike Trout was the top vote-getting outfielder in the second phase of the All-Star Game. He received 39 percent of the vote.

Due to Ohtani's rise to superstardom, it's been easy to forget about Trout. In 75 games, he's hitting.265/.362/.609 with 23 homers and 48RBI.

Only six players in the American League have at least 20 homers this season, and one of them is Stanton, who has a.237/.323/.510 batting average.

The Yankees have the best record in baseball (60-23) and playing for them was going to help Stanton.

The NL third base race was too close to call, but the San Diego Padres star won with 51 percent of the votes.

The two players tied for most wins above replacement in the NL this season are Paul Goldschmidt and Machado.

The race for the Los Angeles Dodgers star's position in the infield was very close, with Turner holding a 51-47 lead.

Turner won by a narrow margin. This season, there is no separation between Turner and Swanson. Turner leads in batting average, stolen bases, and homers with a.300 average, but he has an advantage in home runs with a.500 average.

Turner has an on- base percentage of.355 compared to Swanson's on- base percentage of.355. Turner got the nod as the starter, despite the fact that both players will likely end up on the NL team.

It was a sad day for the reigning NL Most Valuable Player, BryceHarper. He won't be able to play in the game as he heals from a thumb injury he sustained when he was hit by a pitch.

The MLB All-Star selection show will reveal the pitchers and reserves on Sunday. The show is on the sports channel.

The All-Star Game will be held in Los Angeles in 2022.
