The San Diego Padres said Friday that left fielder Jurickson Profar has been diagnosed with a concussion and a neck strain.
The team said that Profar is resting after he was discharged from the hospital.
The fly ball hit by Tommy La Stella of the San Francisco Giants was hit into shallow left field by Profar andAbrams. Profar appeared to be positioning himself for a diving catch when Abrams hit him in the jaw with his left knee.

Profar was surrounded by the training staff as he lay on the ground. He was put on a stretcher and taken to the hospital. Profar pumped his fist to acknowledge the cheers of the crowd.
The Padres won the game by a score of 2 to 1.
