AOC mocks Brett Kavanaugh for skipping dessert at DC steakhouse amid protests outside: 'The least they could do is let him eat cake'

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York took issue with the media's coverage of the incident.

I pity the poor guy. Half of the country should risk death if they have an ectopic pregnancy within the wrong state lines because he decided he was leaving before his soufflé. It's not fair to him. They should allow him to eat cake.

The Supreme Court voted to overturn the constitutional right to an abortion.

Women with ectopic pregnancies, where an embryo implants outside the uterus, can be life threatening and never result in a live birth, may no longer be able to access care in states that ban abortion.

The conservative Supreme Court Justice did not hear or see the protesters, but he ate a full meal before leaving.

The Morton's statement said that the patrons were harassed by the protesters.

A representative for the restaurant chain said that politics should not affect the right to congregate and eat dinner. Everything has a time and place. It was an act of selfishness that disturbed the dinner of all of our customers.

"I will never understand why the pearl is holding these protests," she said. People are sent to protest me all the time.

Prior media coverage of conservative figures being driven from restaurants included when former White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee was asked to leave a Virginia restaurant.

"If it's a Republican in a restaurant, nobody cares about it," said the democrat. I don't understand the obsession, can someone explain it?
