Musk is attempting to end his pursuit of the micro-messaging service. A story in The Washington Post reflecting Musk's thinking about The Washington Post is one of the reasons why his legal team is trying to end the deal.

The Merger Agreement was terminated by Mr. Musk due to the fact that the Agreement appears to have made false and misleading representations to Mr. Musk when he entered into it.

According to Musk, the company has overstated the number of automated accounts on its platform in the past. Prior to inking the deal, Musk mentioned that he would take on the platform's spam problem as the company's new owner.

Taylor doubled down on the company's intentions to see the deal through. Taylor wrote that the board plans to pursue legal action to enforce the merger agreement. Parag was a fan of Taylor's post.

The Twitter Board is committed to closing the transaction on the price and terms agreed upon with Mr. Musk and plans to pursue legal action to enforce the merger agreement. We are confident we will prevail in the Delaware Court of Chancery.
