Sources told Andscape that Damian Lillard has agreed to a two-year, $122 million contract extension with the Portland Trail blazers.

A source told Spears that Lillard is going to sign his contract in Las Vegas.

Two years ago, he signed a new deal that will last through the 25th season. Over the past decade, the six-time All-Star has already made more than $150 million as the franchise player and the new money will carry his earnings with the team to more than $300 million.

He had abdominal surgery in January to address an injury that had been bothering him for years. He shot a career-low 40% as he labored with the injury.

The time off shouldn't be a problem for him long-term, he said in a televised interview.

While watching games at the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, he said his body is stronger than it was before.

The mental break and physical rest were helpful, as was the birthday boy.

The Portland Trail blazers finished 13th in the Western Conference with a 27-55 record. Two weeks ago they made a trade for Jerami Grant, who played for Team USA last summer, and drafted Shaedon Sharpe with the 7th pick.
