Julius Onah is the man who will direct Captain America: Civil War. The next Captain America film will be directed by Onah, who is best known for making The Cloverfield Paradox. The script was written by Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musso.
The news of the film being in development broke a year ago. There were rumors that former Captain America, Chris Evans, could be coming back to the universe, and if that happens, this would be the place. The Hollywood Reporter said it was unclear if that would happen. At San Diego Comic-Con, which will be held in a few weeks, we may find out if Captain America 4 will be part of the slate.
While Onah was best known for his previous movie, the third Cloverfield, he came back strong in the new year with Luce, a character driven drama with Naomi Watts, Octavia Spencer, and TimRoth. It has a fresh rating on the Tomatoes website.
We don't know what Captain America 4 is going to be about. Will Sam Wilson be able to hold onto the mantle? Will the man be with us for the ride? Sharon Carter, the baddie from the MCU, might show up. The film may continue the universe's multiverse direction. We hope to find out soon.
