Major internet cable and cellphone network disruptions have occurred across Canadian provinces due to an ongoing network outage.

Rogers said on Friday that they are currently experiencing an outage across their wireline and wireless networks. We will keep you updated as we have more information to share, including when service will be back up. The company did not say what happened.

People have lost their ability to go online, make phone calls, conduct simple bank transactions, and make emergency calls because of the outage.
