The new MacBook Air with the M2 chip can be ordered on Apple's online store. In-store availability and deliveries will begin on July 15.
The biggest design change to the MacBook Air line since 2010 and the first to feature the M2 chip were announced in June.
The MacBook Air has a MagSafe port that can be used for charging and a 3.5mm jack that can be used for headphones.
The machine has a built-in four-speaker sound system. There is a three-phone array.
The next-gen M2 chip has an 8-core processor and up to a 10-core graphics card. Compared to the M1, the M2 has an 18% faster processor, a 35 percent faster graphics card, and a 40 percent faster neural engine.
The price for the new MacBook Air is in the US. The previous-generation MacBook Air with the M1 chip is still available at a lower price.
