While sailing the high seas, boat owners will be able to hook up to the internet.

Starlink Maritime allows you to connect from the most remote waters across the world, just like you would in the office or at home.

Starlink Maritime hardware has an easy-to- install mount. End-to-end encryption is used to protect data and confidentiality.

It doesn't come cheap. There is a one-off fee of $10,000 for two satellite dishes and a monthly fee of $5,000. The Starlink service costs $600 for the receiving dish and $110 a month for the internet.

The package requires an additional high- performance terminal that is important for maintaining the connection in choppy seas and heavy storms. Musk said that the dish has been ruggedized to resist salt spray and storms.

The chief of the company insisted that it was still cheaper and faster than other companies, and that it had been paying $150,000 per month for a worse connection to the drones.

According to the website of the company, Starlink is being used to get high-quality video of its rocket landings at sea, giving continuous coverage in the face of engines capable of generating up to 190,000 pounds of force.

Starlink is powered by a constellation of satellites. The main goal of the company is to connect communities that are currently without internet access or with poor internet connections.

Musk said in May that Starlink now has 400,000 subscribers in 36 countries. Starlink was launched by SpaceX.
