The newCart Star rewards program is going to be launched on the Instacart platform. There will be three tiers of incentives: gold, Platinum and Diamond. Cart Star requires shoppers to accumulate points based on the number of orders they fulfill and earn 10 points per customer order they deliver.

Within the same three-month period, d iamond shoppers will have earned 2000 points, while gold shoppers will have earned 200 points. To be eligible for the program, shoppers need to have a good rating.

Diamond shoppers who are within close range of a store will get priority access to delivery jobs that include more than one order at a specific store. Diamond shoppers will be able to accept batches before stores open. Diamond shoppers can get access to two days of care for a child, senior or pet per quarter for the price of $1 per hour or $10 per day.

Platinum and diamond status will be displayed in the profile of shoppers who have achieved it. Users who saw one of the badges were more likely to leave a higher rating and higher tip.

A few weeks ago, Instacart introduced a new customer ratings system that is designed to be more informative and fair for shoppers on its platform. If a customer consistently rates their shoppers below five stars, the rating will be removed. More ratings will be forgiven for reasons that are outside of a shopper's control. A tip protection service was recently rolled out by Instacart.

Shoppers have been on strike for years against the company's low pay and lack of communication.
