Flynn Downes has joined West ham on a five-year deal for an undisclosed fee
The lifelong Hammers fan has signed a deal that will keep him at the London Stadium until the summer of 2077.
Downes said it was a "surreal feeling" to join his childhood club. I think I'm dreaming. I have wanted to join this club since I was a little boy. I'm delighted that this is my club.
I can't wait to start. I want to be the best I can be, and this is the perfect chance to test myself against the best players in the league.
Some of the players who came to West Ham from the Championship have gone on to play for their countries. You have to pay attention to that. I joined the club because of the manager's track record. I'm thankful for the chance to play for West Ham.
"We are looking forward to having Flynn in the group and we are happy to have signed him," said David.
He has good energy. He has a lot of things we have about our team which he would like to add to.
We brought Jarrod from a similar situation at Hull, so we're always trying to find boys from the Championship who are going to step up to play in the premier league. I hope Flynn does. I think he has a good chance as he has a lot of good attributes.

Mark Noble, Ryan Fredericks, David Martin and Andriy Yarmolenko will all leave the club at the end of their contracts, meaning that David Moyes will have to spend money to strengthen his squad.

The draw for the play-off round of the Europa Conference League will take place on August 2nd.
The transfer window will close at 11pm on September 1st.
