Amazon Prime Day is next week, but other companies are also having sales. This is the first time we've seen a ThinkBook laptop with an integrated graphics card for less than $1,000.
The ThinkBook 13S Gen 4 has the 6000-series Ryzen 7 chip, 16 gigabytes of RAM (soldered), a 512-gigabyte SSD, and a 13-inchIPS screen. You need to enter two promo codes to get the discount.

The ThinkBook 13S is something we like.
When it comes to ports, the ThinkBook line beats both MacBooks and Dell XPS. You get a charging port, ausb-c port, ausb-a port, an HDMI port, and a headphones jack. There is a reader for fingerprints.
We did like last year's version but haven't tested this one yet. The Gen 4 chip is the most powerful option for laptops and should be able to handle a lot of things. If you are looking for a video editing rig, look elsewhere. The 6000-series Ryzen chips are noted for their better battery life. Expect eight to nine hours under ideal conditions.
The keyboard is close to the feel of a MacBook but still comfortable to type on. It's easy to carry around the ThinkBook because it's just about the weight of a MacBook Air. It's not as bright at 300 nits, but I prefer a lower resolution anti-glare panel to a higher resolution shiny panel, and the 16:10 screen ratio gives you more screen space.
