The RadissonRewards Americas loyalty program is exclusive to Radisson- family properties in the Americas. The loyalty program just launched a major promotion that has the potential to be rewarding.

Even though Choice Hotels will purchase Radisson Rewards Americas, the program is still independent, and there is no timetable for that to change.

Double Radisson rewards points can be earned on stays of two or more nights. There are some things to be aware of.

• The offer is valid for stays between July 6 and August 31, 2022
• You must register prior to check-out of your first eligible stay (it’s fine if you booked your stay prior to the start of the promotion)
• The offer is available at all 600+ Radisson Collection, Radisson Blu, Radisson, Radisson RED, Radisson Individuals, Park Plaza, Park Inn by Radisson, and Country Inn & Suites by Radisson hotels in the United States, Canada, Latin America, and the Caribbean
• You can earn up to 100,000 bonus points with this promotion (which you’d earn after spending $5,000 on eligible rates)
• Qualifying stays are those that are booked directly with Radisson at an eligible rate, which excludes award nights and Points + Cash redemptions
• Bonus points should post within 5-10 days of an eligible stay

How valuable is this Radisson Rewards promotion?

Radisson Rewards Americas members normally earn 20 base points per dollar spent, so during this promotion, they would earn an extra 20 points per dollar spent on stays of two or more nights.

The members would earn 40 points for every dollar spent. There are no bonuses from credit card rewards or elite bonuses.

I value Radisson rewards points at 0.3 cents each so this promotion offers an incremental return on spending. I wouldn't say that this is a reason to switch stays to Radisson, but it's pretty decent.

There is a lot of complexity between the Americas program and the rest of the global program, and award nights are being blocked at some of the best properties.
