  • Danielle Fishel said that the cast has grown closer because of their conversations.

  • According to Insider, Fishel and her co-hosts will not shy away from important issues.

  • Will Friedle said that is how you grow.

In a recent interview with Insider, Danielle Fishel said that the cast of the hit TGIF sitcom became closer since her former costar spoke out about racism. The cast had difficult conversations with each other despite the issue.

During her time on the set of Rider Strong, she experienced racism. In 2015, the behavior was the same as it was in the previous year.

Even though she appeared on nearly 60 episodes of the original series, the actor still treated her like a stranger. She didn't say who called her racist names.

In July 2020 she opened up to Yahoo Entertainment about her experience with racism.

"I feel like I'm always the one who had to keep it quiet and move on," he said. Do you have anything to say about me? I'm taking a lot of stuff and not realizing how much it's affecting my self-esteem.

In 2020 she felt the same way she did in the previous years on the show.

She said that Friedle apologized for calling her a racist name and that he was completely sincere.

Fishel said in June 2020 that she was the person who made the other person feel bad. When she guest starred on GMW she was rude, cold, and distant. She apologized and she accepted.

Fishel told Insider that she's not afraid to admit that she's made mistakes in the past, even if it's just for a moment.

She said that social media has made us worse communicators and that some people shy away from confrontation. Fishel believes that the default is to avoid tense encounters.

It's a big deal if something happens that one person isn't aware of and you don't know how much of an impact it made on someone else.

People grow when they accept their less than stellar moments.

Although she has publicly healed her relationships with both Fishel and Friedle, the co hosts have made it clear that they will revisit the issue when she joins them as a guest.

"It has made us so much closer, the things that have come out of those conversations, the tears that have been shed, the hugs that we have had, has been some of my favorite moments of the last several years," Fishel said.

Friedle told Insider that he's looking forward to discussing important topics publicly with other members of the cast and that he's expecting some confrontation.
