According to an eyebrow-raising scoop from Insider, the Musks' brood of children is even larger than previously known, with two new twins having been born last November.
The infants are not Musk's first secret children. In March of this year, it was revealed in a Vanity Fair article that Musk had a second baby with his on-again-off-again girlfriend, the acclaimed musician. The billionaire now has nine kids.
A notable individual is the mother of the latest infants. According to Insider's report, this woman is a highly-accomplished employee of Musk who has worked at several of his ventures.
It is frowned on for executives to maintain romantic, sexual or parental relationships with their subordinates, a norm in the business world that Musk seems to be violating here.
In May of this year, legal documents claimed that Musk had made improper sexual advances towards a flight attendant working in a private jet. The documents reviewed by Insider show that the woman was paid $250,000 after the allegations came to light. Musk has been criticized for his treatment of women.
Musk, along with the other people named in Insider's story, refused to comment. There are a lot of people he could date who aren't his workers. He's been married to several people in the past, including the one he's currently dating.
A side of Musk that seems to emerge regularly, and perhaps more frequently as he ages, is a talented executive who is doing extraordinary things in the fields of space travel, electric vehicles, and beyond, but who has poor impulse control.
