Tom Hanks

Tom Hanks is one of the Buzz Lightyear truthers. In a new interview, Hanks expressed his confusion over the fact that Tim Allen did not return to voice the brawny astronauts in Lightyear that he originated in 1995's Toy Story

Hanks says he doesn't understand that.

Hanks was asked if it was strange to see Elvis going up against a film in the summer blockbusters. According to Hanks, he was excited about the idea of a friendly competition between Elvis and Lightyear, even though he thought Allen was still involved.

Hanks wanted to go head-to-head with Tim Allen, but he wasn't allowed to.

Allen shared a joke with Extra about the new Lightyear film.

He said that he had stayed out of it because it had nothing to do with his character. There is no Toy Story Buzz without Woody.

Hanks isn't going to protest Hollywood over Allen's confusion over where the Allen-less Lightyear fits in the toy story. Hanks said that the most important thing the film can do is bring people to the theater.

I want to go back into the theater with a group of people. I would like to do that. Hanks is excited to see a movie with them.
