Kevin Smith wasn't supposed to be here. He was a dead end job in New Jersey until he maxed out his credit cards and became a clerk. The hit paved the way for everything that Smith has done since, including multiple films in which he reprises his role as Silent Bob. Clerks III is coming later this year and there is still room for at least one more story.
The first two Clerks films were based on Smith's life, with Brian O'Halloran's Dante Hicks as a stand-in for Smith. The movie puts Graves in Smith's shoes. Smith had a heart attack that forced him to question his life's path. It looks like this sequel is even more meta than Clerks II because the author decides to make a film about his life. He would like to be Kevin Smith. It's not yet known whether the same level of success can be found by Randal.
Almost all of the Smith regulars are back for this one, including Marilyn Ghigliotti, who plays Veronica Loughran, as well as the other Smith regulars, including the other Smith regulars, such as the other Smith regulars, such as the other Smith regulars, such Ben Affleck reprised his role as a character in Smith's films. They have small roles in the film.
Smith wrote and directed the sequel, which will be available for a limited time in theaters.
