The U.K.'s competition watchdog is looking into Microsoft's acquisition of a video game publisher.
It is one of the first antitrust investigations into the $68.7 billion deal.
The acquisition will have huge implications for the video game industry, as it will give control of some of the most lucrative franchises in the industry to a tech company.
The U.K.'s Competition and Markets Authority said it would investigate whether the deal could harm competition and lead to worse outcomes for consumers.
The deadline for the initial decision is September 1st. There is a consultation running until Jul. 20, 2022.
