Free delivery from nearby restaurants is one of the new perks for Prime members. Prime members in the US will be able to get a one-year membership for free. Amazon shut down its restaurant delivery service in the UK and the US in order to create its own restaurant delivery competitor. It is teaming up with a delivery service.

If your order goes over $12, you can enjoy $0 food delivery fees. Free food and discounts on their orders are included in the rewards they receive. Prime subscribers can redeem their free membership by going to the official perk page on Amazon and sharing their Prime status. After their current billing cycle ends, new users can claim the free year. If you cancel your Prime membership, you will be charged $10 a month for the delivery service after a year.

Amazon and Just Eat Takeaway.com have a commercial agreement. The stock warrants will be worth 2 percent of the total equity of the company. It remains to be seen if Amazon will make a purchase of the company. More members will be added to the subscription service at a later date.

The CEO of the company said that.

"I am incredibly excited to announce this collaboration with Amazon that will help Grubhub continue to deliver on our long-standing mission to connect more diners with local restaurants. Amazon has redefined convenience with Prime and we’re confident this offering will expose many new diners to the value of Grubhub+ while driving more business to our restaurant partners and drivers."
