After leaving for a vacation to the treasure state on Friday, he did not announce where he was going. He will come back on Monday. There is a property in Montana that is owned by the parents of Newsom's wife. The couple wed there in 2008.

Newsom has been scrutinized before for his outings.

The French Laundry hosted a private dinner party for Newsom in 2020 after he advised against socializing. Many people criticized his attendance.

On Sunday, there were political ads in Florida that criticized the policies of the governor.
