Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network doesn't believe a deal will happen despite rumors that Baker Mayfield is going to Seattle.

He said that he had not heard anything to corroborate Baker's claims. They have never really cared about Baker. They want a Drew Lock vs. Geno Smith fight.

Rapoport argued that the initial rumors about Mayfield were not real.

Although he is unlikely to play another game with the team, Baker Mayfield is still under contract with the Cleveland Browns and has started 59 games over the last four years.

The quarterback asked for a trade in March and the team excused him from mini camp.

After the team traded Russell Wilson, Seattle seemed to be a good fit.

The Seahawks and Pro Football Network both reported a high level of interest in the quarterback.

Lock and Smith are the top two options on the depth chart according to the latest reports.

Lock has shown promise in his career, but the 25-year-old has struggled with consistency and spent most of last year on the bench. Lock has 18 touchdown in the last two seasons.

Smith has only started three times in three seasons with Seattle. When he got the chance last year, he performed well, totaling 702 passing yards and five touchdown with only one interception.
