Joey Chestnut

Joey Chestnut retained his title as America's Hot Dog King this weekend, winning his 15th title at the Nathan's hot dog eating contest on Monday. He doesn't let his success make him lazy or entitled, as he demonstrated when he scarfed down 63 hot dogs in front of a crowd.

As a protestor ran onto the stage in a Darth Vader mask, Chestnut put him in a choke hold and sent him to the ground. While he easily outpaced every other schmuck in the competition, he didn't come close to beating his own personal record of 76 dogs in 10 minutes.

The DraftKings sportsbook had to refunds over/under bets on the 74.5 hot dog line because of the incident, but one wonders if that should have added a couple more dogs to Chestnut's final tally.

In our coverage of the greatest sport that the Fourth of July has to offer, we told about the story of Takeru Kobayashi, who retired from competitive eating after winning the Nathan's hot dog eating contest.

Direct Action Everywhere is an animal rights group that was involved in the NBA playoffs demonstrations that included a woman gluing her hand to the court. I will give them that headline.
